Within our wholesale activities, we manage the procurement, storage and distribution of medicines and medical devices for pharmacies, hospitals, and wholesalers.

Our logistics processes are designed in accordance with GDP guidelines and FMD legislation, ensuring quality and safety at every step of the distribution chain. Through flexible logistics and international sourcing channels, we are able to support supply needs even in situations of scarcity or complex market conditions.

International pharmaceutical companies looking to make their medicines available in the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and Suriname can rely on a partner that manages the entire distribution process. As an exclusive distributor and pre-wholesaler, we ensure that logistics, importation, storage, and delivery are handled in accordance with applicable regulations.

Our role as a pre-wholesaler covers the full preparatory phase of market access. With our specialized facilities and carefully managed quality processes, pharmaceutical companies can be confident that their products comply with GDP and GMP guidelines at every stage.

International

Identical quality and improved availabilty

To support the availability of medicines, parallel import may be used where appropriate: sourcing medicines from other EU countries where they are more readily available. These products are identical to the Dutch equivalents and meet the same requirements in terms of composition, quality, and safety.

In this way, we help maintain stock levels and support the continuity of pharmaceutical care. Parallel import may also offer cost advantages.

We support the international sourcing of study medication and comparator drugs, ensure reliable and timely deliveries, and provide complete quality and batch documentation. In the event of study changes or limited product availability, we work flexibly to help support the continuity of research.

Shortages and unlicensed medicines

When availability is under pressure

In a market where medicines are regularly unavailable, Orange Pharma provides support in maintaining supply. Through international sourcing channels and extensive experience, we help identify suitable alternatives in a timely manner.

In the event of shortages, we engage our network to source identical or equivalent products, helping care processes continue as smoothly as possible and supporting timely treatment for patients.

We also support hospitals, pharmacies, and wholesalers in the supply of unlicensed medicines when no registered alternative is available. Our specialists guide the entire process, from sourcing and quality control to documentation and regulatory requirements.
